Zonnique Takes To Instagram To Share Some Heartbreaking News About Her Controversial Eye Color Surgery

While T.I. and Tiny Harris' daughter, Zonnique is snatching wigs left and right with her fire looks on Instagram, she took a moment to get real with a fan in the comments recently.

It is far from a secret that Nique Nique followed in her mother's footsteps in 2014 to surgically have her eye color changed from dark brown to greyish/blue.

But, according to the 22-year-old, this choice wasn't “the best in the long term.”

A few days ago, Zonnique shared a photo to Instagram that was unlike a couple of previous photo.

Wearing a body snatching red dress, she captioned the photo, “fun fact: Jailee is my middle name🌹.”

Fans recently noticed that the reality starlet’s eye hue seemed to be back to dark brown.

One asked, “Is the eye color change worth it???” before adding, “Thinking of going to Kenya and getting it. I have done my research but it will help if u can tell me your experience.”

Zonnique responded, clarifying she didn’t go to Kenya—she went to Tunisia—before sharing her reservations.

“Well I didn’t go to Kenya so I can’t say if it’s safe there or not, but I’ve never liked to recommend anyone to do it,” she confessed. “I can say that the experience wasn’t the best in the long term but everyone is mom is fine.”

ICYMI: During a recent episode of T.I. & Tiny: Family & Friends Hustle, Zonnique opened up to her grandmother about considering to have her iris implant surgery reversed.

“My eye started bothering me, the doctor told me that ‘you could possibly go blind,'” she then explained.

Ah! How scary.

Zonnique had not previously commented on regretting her surgery, but it's clear she began the reversal process months ago.

Back in September, a few had noticed that she seemed to have one dark brown eye and one greyish/blue eye.

Good for her for being so open and honest!

took time on my hair for it to look like ish for me to wear it like I think it’s cute...whatever

Tiny, who also went through the eye surgery back in October 2014, has previously dropped details about the process with ABC News.

"They go into the eye and they make a little slit," she said, noting that the procedure uses a medical-grade silicone. "They take an implant and it's folded up. They open it [and] spread it over your eye.

Whatever floats your boat, we guess.

Tameka once ripped into the naysayers who gave her a hard time about this.

In an Instagram video, alongside her close friend Shekinah (who starred alongside Tiny on the miniseries Tiny & Shekinah’s Weave Trip), Tiny addressed all the criticism.

“You put braces in your mouth to change your teeth, you weren’t born like that. And you put hair in your head to change your look to have curly hair or long hair, you weren’t born like that,” Tiny noted, defending her decision to opt for the procedure.

Hm. Are you impressed that Zonnique (and Tiny) have been so willing to discuss this topic? We are. It’s kind of refreshing, no?

Tune into VH1’s T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle on Monday nights at 9PM ET/PT.
