Craig is in a relationship with Cameron Castillo, the father of Kaden.

Brooke, who is pregnant and due next month, ended up shooting his 7-year-old son.

Craig and Castillo, who both have criminal records,  fled together. They left his children behind, including Kaden who was bleeding from his chest.

Authorities say they were called to Craig’s home on Thursday (December 28) and were told that a seven-year-old had sustained gunshot wounds was taken to the hospital. Kaden died shortly afterwards.

Police found the couple more than 30 miles away in McKinney. They led police on a chase that eventually ended in Frisco after Craig rammed into police cars.

The police chase began around 2:45 a.m. Friday and ended about nine miles from where it began. McKinney police said officers located a suspect's vehicle leaving a local Walgreen's store. The driver sped away from police, driving west into Frisco and into a dead-end street.

The vehicle backed up and struck the front end of a patrol unit, police said. At that point, officers arrested the driver, Brooke Craig, and a passenger, identified as Cameron Castillo, the child's father.

Both Craig and Castillo were booked into the Collin County Jail, according to police. Jail records show that Craig was later transferred from Collin County to Hunt County/

Craig faces a capital murder charge and for evading arrest charge in Collin County.

The siblings of the child who was killed were removed from the home and placed in foster care, a spokesperson for Child Protective Services reported to WFAA-TV.

Kaden's mother, Courtney Green, stated, "I want justice for my son."

"It's tearing the whole family up," said the boy's uncle, Donny Traymor. "It's a tragedy. A 7-year-old boy. Things like this aren't supposed to happen."
