Usher Allegedly Tried Pushing Up On "Creed" Actress Tessa Thompson Ahead Of Announcing Split To Wife Grace Miguel

No.

Usher and Tessa Thompson may end up hooking up. Well, if the crooner gets his way, that is.

Um, hard pass on this pairing. For many, many reasons.

Also, wasn’t Usher just supposedly seen out and about with "Love & Hip Hop" star Amara La Negra?

Well, Page Six is reporting that Usher set his sights on the actress during a recent afterparty in Los Angeles, before he announced his split from wife Grace Miguel.

Sources claim that, following the LA premiere of “Black Panther” in January, Usher was trying to get with Tessa.
A guest says that Usher posed for snaps with Janelle Monáe and Tessa.

"They were talking to Janelle and he and Tessa had flirty body language . . . then he seemed to be following [Thompson] around like a lost puppy.”

Yup. When Tessa “walked away, he followed like a puppy looking for more attention.”

Wow. Hahaha.

“He was attached at the hip” at the Hollywood Roosevelt party, at which no press was allowed inside; the guestlist also included Jamie Foxx, Donald Glover, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar (and the cast).

Eh.

And Tessa seems okay with people rooting for this too.

Entertainment Tonight's Courtney Tezeno chatted it up with Tessa last week, asking her how she felt about all this.

"What does shipping mean? They're going to put you in a box together and ship you away?" she asked, before it was clarified that it meant fans thought they would make an adorable couple.

"Oh, right!" she laughed, before delving into the details of their dynamic.
"Janelle and I have been really close. We've been really good friends at this point for about three and a half years," Tessa shared. “I'm so lucky to have her in my life. I met her in an audition!"

"I'm so proud of her now that she's entering the film space. So what we were able to do for her in this record cycle for her is to make what they are calling an 'emotion picture,'" she noted. "Janelle is somebody that is interested in empowering not just women but people to be who they are."
