Tommie Lee Has a Tearful Heart-to-Heart With Her Mom About Her Problems That'll Break All Hearts

The one thing we know about Tommie Lee is that she is a fighter.

And if you didn't know, Alcoholism is truly a disease and no one should ever be ashamed to seek or accept help.

Tommie Lee was shown having a heart-to-heart talk with her mother and sister after being told she is an alcoholic. The "Love & Hip Hop" star became emotional as her mother shared her own battle with alcohol.

After previously getting banned from filming due to drinking, Tommie told her mother and her sister, Versace, "Being suspended from filming was a wake up call that I do need to change some things."

Tommie told her family that her drunken behavior was "embarrassing."

Lee went on to ask her mother Samantha, "Would you ever let somebody tell you that you’re an alcoholic?"

Her mother responded, "Yea. I would. Sometimes I feel like an alcoholic like if I can’t get out of bed without a drink, if I can’t go to sleep without a drink. Alcohol done took a lot of lives in our family. We gotta break the cycle."

Samantha also shared that she was dealing with serious health issues and is having tests run. She is hoping the news will be a wake-up call for Tommie to stop drinking.

The reality star broke down into tears hearing of her mother's health problems, regretting all the times they have been on bad terms. However, Tommie realizes it's time to take her alcohol issues seriously.

Tommie previously revealed the reasons behind her drinking.

She shared, "I’m shy so sometimes I drink to be a little more social. I don’t know, it helped me cope with a lot of things going on in my life. I mean, it’s so many things. Even though I have a big family, I don’t really have support. To deal with the thoughts of my mom, not liking me, hating me and the stress that I’m going through with my brothers and sisters like how big my heart is and open to everybody – they don’t feel the same way about me so that kinda like, that kinda like hurts. Every time I go through this stuff, it hurts me. I’m not proud of it."

Last month, the "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star was ordered to wear an alcohol monitoring device as a condition of her bail on two legal cases against her in Georgia.

The judge warned her not to drink any alcohol until her cases are resolved.

The SCRAM device measures alcohol in a person's sweat every half hour.

“Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” airs on Mondays at 8/7c.
