Tiffany Haddish’s Ex-Husband Reportedly Secures Russell Simmons’ Legal Team To Sue Her Over Abuse Claims

Tiffany Haddish and her ex-husband William Stewart are having it out these days.

She wrote about some of the alleged abuse her put her through in her memoir, The Last Black Unicorn.

“He grabbed me by the collar, he was like, ‘It’s time to go to the room now,’ in front of everybody,” she penned.

“Just snatched me by my shirt, and pulled me to the elevator and threw me in it…once we got to our hotel room, he was so quick. He snatched me by the neck and slammed me into the wall.”

She stated that this type of incident happened on a regular basis. One night, she says it led to a miscarriage.
Her husband denied the abuse claims outright. A few times actually.

“I married Tiffany, her issues, and not the Hollywood lifestyle,” William declared. “I have never beat or hit or called a woman a ‘MF or B’ while having a disagreement ever in my life. I never caused a miscarriage, I have documents to prove this. Tiffany advised me about a month ago about the book and she told me that I would be furious.”

“I’m not gonna try to tear something down that I helped build,” he continued. “I just wanna come on this show to tell the truth. I have been seeking legal representation, I don’t wanna bring all the dirt out. Tiffany and I, I believe that we can settle this.”

He also posted on Instagram, writing, "I ont [sic] want to respond to my character and my family matters in the book […] At this time I will not through [sic] dirt at Tiffany or release things that I know will harm her. I actually don't think this was all Tiffany's doings [sic]... I think people were telling her they need to add stuff to fluff it up. I have NEVER HIT or beat a woman in my life. I'm hurting and thanks."

Well, now he is reportedly suing her. At least that is what theJasmineBRAND.com is saying.

He seems to have hired Atlanta attorneys Michael T. Sterling and E. Carlos Tanner III to back him up and file libel and defamation claims against Tiffany. Oh and they have worked for Russell Simmons - who is also having quite a time these days.

Someone also dug up old restraining order documents filed by Tiffany towards her ex, which are pretty damning, right?

Tiffany did bring up the fact that editors may have fudged some details though; “I ain’t gon’ lie. Some stuff in the book is a little bit… I was like, ‘What?' […] I don’t know if when they edit, maybe they tweak things a little. So, then, in the audiobook, I’m like, ‘No, this is what it is.'”
