27-Year-Old Man Shoots and Kills His Girlfriend’s 16-Year-Old Niece After She Threatened to Reveal Their Sexual Relationship

A 27-year-old Connecticut man has been accused of fatally shooting his 16-year-old girlfriend in the head, before getting into a car accident.

Dominique Pittman has been charged with the murder in connection with the death of Evalyce Santiago.

NBC Connecticut reports that family members of the teen victim claimed they had no idea the two were romantically involved.

"The factors that caused this tumultuous end are still under investigation and we’re hoping to resolve that shortly," Waterbury Police Deputy Chief Fernando Spagnolo stated during a news conference on Tuesday afternoon.

Francisco Rivera (the victim’s grandfather, who raised her) revealed Pittman and the victim’s aunt had several children together, WFSB shared.

"Nobody knows nothing until something happens. That’s when we all realize the tragedy. It was under our noses and we didn’t see it," Francisco said.

Police found Santiago’s body in the wreckage of a crash in Waterbury on Monday. They said Santiago was in the passenger seat with three apparent gunshot wounds in the head.

27-year-old Dominique Pittman is accused of killing 16-year-old Evalyce Santiago (above) after she threatened to tell his long-term girlfriend — her aunt — about their sexual #relationship.
Police claim Pittman was "visibly shaken" at the scene; he had some bumps and bruises.

School officials said Santiago was a student at Wilby High School, but had recently transferred from Crosby High School. Grief counselors were available at both schools on Wednesday and will be available after that if needed.

Police said Pittman has also been charged with weapons violations, including carrying a pistol without a permit and weapons in a motor vehicle.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help her family pay for the funeral.

So sad. Our thoughts and condolences to her loved ones.

Since we are already on depressing stories about alleged predators, did you see R. Kelly’s homes were burglarized recently?

Okay, that was quite a leap. We admit it.

Police say furniture and electronic equipment (and other items) were taken from the homes while he was on tour in New Orleans.

A detective caught three men leaving the home in a get-away van; they told officers they had been hired by an associate of the musician.

TMZ has stated that the man gave cops three different stories about how Kelly’s gear ended up in his house. He claimed he would turn himself in Tuesday, but never showed up and warrant has now been issued for his arrest.
