Rick Ross Shares First Statement And Photo After Hospital Release Following Health Scare

Rick Ross has made his official return to social media after his health scare, sharing a photo of himself and telling fans he's happy to be back home. 

The rapper, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts, shared a black and white photo of himself to Instagram on Thurs., March 8.

The photo shows the back of Ross' jacket that reads, "Black Bottle Boys." The rapper is holding a bottle of Luc Belaire Rose, the champagne brand that he is an official brand ambassador for.

"Ain’t nothing like home," the 42-year-old star wrote in the caption, before adding, "I love y’all".

Ross returned home from the hospital on Monday, March 5, after a four day stint. He was hospitalized on Thursday, March 1, after being found unconscious in his Florida home.

Ross' team have not divulged an official reason for his hospitalization. Some reports claimed he was suffering from respiratory problems and other outlets suggested the rapper had a heart attack. 

The 911 call from an unidentified male on Thursday (March 2nd) was released. At 3:34 a.m., a friend called for help.

The man is heard telling the emergency dispatcher, "A friend of mine at his house and … we’re trying to wake him up. He’s breathing hard. His name’s William Roberts (Ross’s real name) and I need an ambulance ASAP. He was throwing up. I know he’s had seizures before. He took his medicine earlier but he’s not acting right."

The next four minutes of the 911 call includes the caller trying to locate Ross' address, as the rapper drifts in and out of consciousness.

The male caller is obviously scared and frantic, leaving the mansion to locate mail in nearby mailboxes. "I know it’s 1-0-3-9-8, but I don’t know what street this is. Please help me," the caller states.

The caller finally finds out the address is on Laurel Road and paramedics rush to the home.

Later in the call, Ross is said to be in a "cold sweat and breathing hard and shaking real bad." The caller adds Ross had "vomited light blood."

On Friday, TMZ reported that Ross was being kept alive with a life-support machine to assist the functions of his heart and lungs. 

Rick returned home from the hospital days after he was found unresponsive. The 42-year-old was discharged early Monday morning and will receive home-care.

Ross was reportedly transferred between two hospitals before returning to his Miami-area pad.

However, the hip-hop star’s family and friends have denied claims that Ross was put on life support.

This is not the first heath scare for Ross. In 2011, he suffered two seizures in the same day and was rushed to a hospital in Alabama. However, he claims that the seizures were due to a lack of sleep.
