REPORT: R. Kelly Is Officially Under Criminal Investigation — Full Details

Every since Lifetime's 6-part docu-series Surviving R. Kelly aired, many people have been taking sides and wondering what's next for the disgraced singer. 

According to TMZ, the exposé on R. Kelly has led an official criminal investigation in the state of Georgia. 

Sources told the publication that the Fulton County District Attorney's Office are thoroughly looking into the alarming number of allegations of molestation and physical (and mental) abuse against women of color revealed in Surviving R. Kelly.

Reportedly, investigators have been reaching out to several of the women featured included Asante McGee. The family of Joycelyn Savage, who say she is a current captive of R. Kelly, have also been contacted and participating in the investigation.

If you missed it, Surviving R. Kelly showcased the King of R&B's alleged criminal behavior over the span of his 20-year career. Everything from reportedly marrying the late Aaliyah at the age of 15-years-old to present-day, where he's reportedly keeping women (against their will) in various homes and studios in both Chicago and Atlanta.

Social Media blew up after every episode as users (including celebrities) publicly picked sides, with many people calling for R. Kelly to be blacklisted. 

TMZ reports that R. Kelly is disgusted by the docu-series and believes it’s all a vendetta against him. While he did not watch Surviving R. Kelly, Sources close to him kept him inform on what aired and Kelly claims to “not know half” of the people in the piece.

People close to the artist are stating that he will soon be launching the website, which will reveal his accusers' "true motivations."

Heralded as the "King of R&B" (Sorry Jacquees), R. Kelly been getting torched across social media after Lifetime’s documentary series, Surviving R. Kelly, premiered last Thursday and with new episodes on Friday and Saturday.

During Surviving R.Kelly, everyone from ex-employees, family member (including his ex-wife), and even women who were allegedly abused by the R&B singer appeared to recount their involvement with him.

All three hours were trending on social media every night that they aired causing discussion among fans and colleagues alike.

Now, the disgraced R&B singer is reportedly responding to the multiple part exposé.

According to TMZ, Kelly did not watch the Surviving R. Kelly documentary. Sources close to him kept him inform on what aired as Kelly claims to “not know half” of the people in the piece and is “disgusted” by the reports of abuse.

Also, R. Kelly claims that all the people in Surviving R. Kelly have a personal “vendetta” against him.

The report ends with a statement that reads he will be suing everyone involved with the scandalous expose.
