Nick Cannon Claps Back At Kanye West's Warning To Stop Talking About His Wife Kim Kardashian — Video

Kanye West demands respect for his family's name.

Just like the rest of us, Nick Cannon caught wind of Kanye West’s “leave my wife alone” rant targeted at him, Drake, and Tyson Beckford on Thursday (September 20th).

All three men have one thing in common - they have spoken about the Kardashian-Jenner family in a disparaging way in recent months.

Kanye started his rant by suggesting that his spirit has been lifted "out of a sunken place" -- that he was no longer susceptible to getting "trampled over."

In his social media scolding, Kanye told Nick:

“First of all, I want to address Nick Cannon. I understand that you used to date my wife but you get an interview, don’t mention my wife. If someone brings my wife up, you say ‘I respect that man, I’m not speaking on that.’”

Now, if you need a refresher on why Kanye felt compelled to call out Nick Cannon, it all stemmed from some roundabout statements he made on Everyday Struggle a few weeks back.

Fans also began ringing alarms when Nick Cannon voiced his speculation that Drake smashing Kim Kardashian “isn’t a far fetched thought/reason” for the drama between the OVO Rapper and Yeezy.

Nick said: “That’s not that far off of a concept! This is just as a fan, stepping back — there’s something real personal going on in that world…there’s something that Drake holds over that whole family, that he’s like “y’all don’t want me to let this out.”

After catching wind of Kanye’s instruction on how not to speak on his wife and their relationship, Nick took to his own Instagram to address him back.

In the first video he shared, Cannon started with a joke: ‘First off, let me say welcome back Kanye, from the Sunken Place.’

He went on: “Hey, I’m glad you back brother. Nothing but love and respect for you. I have never said anything disrespectful, in my opinion, about your marriage. I salute it. But you are not going to tell me what I can and what I cannot say… I am a solid individual; Someone ask me a question, I’mma answer to the best of my ability. I am going to give my opinion and it’s no harm, no foul.

He wrapped up by saying: “I know if it got your spirit feelin' weird, holla at me. You know where I'm at... 'Cause a man's spirit is free but you know, pride binds it at times."

@Kanyewest holla at me!! Let’s get your Spirit right! ✊🏾

In another clip, Nick attempted to extend the olive branch by inviting Kanye West to join him for the 200th episode of MTV’s Wild N' Out.

“I guess this is the way we’re communicating now in 2018, via social media. I guess we do not use phones and stuff like that no more. But just sayin’ to my man Kanye that the 200th episode of Wild ‘n Out is upon us… You are more than welcome. Let’s talk about it, man. Come on the show.”

He added: “I got nothing but love for you, but you know I’ll always speak my mind, just like you always speak yours. Not you, not NBC, no corporate infrastructures, no one’s ever gonna control what I say because I speak the truth always, it’s love.”

@KanyeWest we Wildnout!!!! 😂😂😂😂 This is an open invite!! Welcome Back!!! ☕️

Do you think Kanye will take him up on this offer?
