Monique Samuels Threatens to Quit ‘Real Housewives Of Potamac’ And Explains Why — Receipts Inside

Who knew that the Real Housewives Of Potomac would be soooooo drama-packed?

Monique Samuels is not in the mood for all of the alcoholic accusations that are flying her way these days. (Many believe that her recent car accident was not caused by her feeling “exhausted”, but rather by her drinking.)

Especially from Ashley Darby.

During episode 7, “Blue Skies and Blue Eyes,” Monique told Ashley she fell asleep at the wheel before waking up just in time to drive her car into a ditch and avoid running into a tree. This incident caused her to suffer from whiplash and a mild concussion.

“I don’t know [if she has a problem],” Ashley said at the time, sharing that Monique had finished four martinis before heading home. It was also alleged that Monique had been sipping on drinks during their group trip.

During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” though, Monique hinted that the motivations behind all of the “concerns” from her cast-mates might not be so pure.

“They’re on anything I do. Like, they’re obsessed,” she stated.

“Of course not, no,” she responded, in regards to possibly having an issue with alcohol.

“We all were drinking actually. Production chooses who they want to focus on each episode. When they can’t find dirt, they create it 🤷🏽♀️”

And now the reality star is reportedly threatening to quit the show. It seems that she said as much in a tweet, which she sent in response to a fan. Oh and she wasn’t afraid to throw out criticism about the production team’s handling of the situation.

She had also sent out a denial to People.

“I do not have a drinking problem, was not drunk that day, and would never get behind the wheel if I was intoxicated.”

“If I had been drunk, and I really did have a problem with drinking, I would say, ‘Yeah, I have a problem, I made a mistake,’” Monique shared.

“But people are wanting me to own something that really isn’t my issue. It takes away from people who are actually fighting for their lives, dealing with alcohol addiction”.

The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 3 airs Sundays at 8/7 p.m. CST on Bravo.
