Report: Mother Allegedly Texted Photos Of A Knife Pointed At Her 3-Month-Old As She Choked The Baby With A Phone Charger

A Mississippi mother has been arrested on suspicion of child abuse, after allegedly sending photos of her infant with a cord wrapped around their neck.

Yeah. That will do it.

Santangela Turner turned herself into the Jones County Sheriff's Department on Monday, where she was arrested. A warrant was issued for her arrest on charges of felonious child abuse, the Clarion Ledger reported.

The police department was notified of the alleged abuse after receiving a report from Child Protective Services, who received complaints from a witness, who texted with the woman.

The unnamed witness claims that Turner sent a text which said she had choked her 3-month-old infant with a car charger and left her in the woods next to her apartment complex. They also stated Turner texted pictures which showed a white cord around the infant’s neck.

Other pictures allegedly showed Turner pulling the cord and the infant crying, as well as a picture of the baby lying on her back, with a knife pointed at the baby’s neck.

On Tuesday, a judge set Turner's bond at $10,000 and ordered her to stay away from her infant and other child.

During the initial hearing, her family said she suffers from postpartum depression and is currently seeking help, Fox 23 stated.

Well, damn. Sad.

Want more depressing tales? Okay. But why though?

A Florida man was recently charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching his girlfriend in the face because she ate the last of his favorite chocolate chip cookies

The Smoking Gun reported that a man named Richard Hessic was arrested Thursday evening after officers were called to his Port St. Lucie home, which he shared with the unidentified victim, a 34-year-old nurse.

Hessic was questioned and confessed that the two of them started fighting “over cookies”, once police arrived on the scene. In the arrest report, a Port St. Lucie Police Department investigator explained that Hessic “was upset someone ate the last chocolate chip cookie,” and was enraged “at his girlfriend for not taking him seriously.”

The victim reportedly told authorities the man was mad that “the last of his favorite cookies were eaten,” but to her, the missing cookies were not a big deal, even joking to her boyfriend about “reviewing the surveillance cameras to see who ate the cookie.”

A judge has since barred him from having contact with the victim and has placed him on house arrest with GPS monitoring, court records show. Hessic has previously been arrested for battery, fleeing and eluding, child abuse, driving with a suspended or revoked license and violating probation.
