‘Married To Medicine’ Star Miss Quad Explains Why She's 'Freeing Herself' From Dr. G In Messy Divorce

This one isn’t exactly a shocker.

After weeks of speculation, Miss Quad has confirmed that she is done, done, done trying to salvage her marriage to Dr. G.

The “Sister Circle Live” host opened up while discussing season 6 of “Married To Medicine” and a women’s empowerment brunch she participated in.

“I talked a little about me filing for divorce and me choosing not to be in a state of depression and choosing to be a victor,” she shared.

“A lot of times we put ourselves in suffrage and bondage, for what? Because we feel that we need to be loyal to this person or situation even though it’s not right? I just choose to not fall victim to that.”

Watch the clip below:

TheJasmineBrand reported that Quad and her estranged husband separated around April 2; Quad filed in May. It was pretty clear at the “Married To Medicine” reunion that things needed to change.

It seems that it is already getting pretty messy though, if recent reports are to be believed. Yikes!

In her divorce filing, Quad asked the court to order Greg to pay (temporary and permanent) alimony, along with an "equitable fair division of their property."

She also requested that Greg be temporarily and permanently restrained from harassing her or committing any acts of violence against her.

The divorce documents request that Greg pay her attorney fees and she wants to have her maiden name restored.

An automatic domestic standing order was issued and Dr. Lunceford claims his estranged wife has violated the order.

In a newly filed motion for contempt, he accused Quad of moving pre-marital property from the marital residence without his knowledge or consent.

Long ago, she hinted at trouble by admitting that she wouldn’t rule out divorce during an interview with TheGrio.

"I’m definitely not gonna be a person who is unhappy. Divorce is very tough, but there’s nothing that’s more important to me than my happiness,” she explained.

"I really don’t think there is anything in this world that would make me sacrifice my happiness. Not a job, not a friendship, not a marriage. It’s just unfair. Life is very short-lived and it should be filled with love, joy and happiness. Not stress and anguish and misery."
The pair tied the knot in 2012 and do not have any kids (which was evidently a point of contention, as were rumored infidelities.)

"I desperately would love one day to have at least one child. Max being two. But it would be unfair for me to bring a child into this world in a household where we’re not seeing eye to eye."

She then went on to note, "I want my child to be emotionally stable and have the best outlook on love and marriage. Right now, my husband and I have to really work out some things before we can even consider that."

Honestly, it seems like a split is for the best. Sending love and positive thoughts along!
