Texas Middle School Coach Arrested After Getting Busted In Hotel Room With A 15-Year-Old Girl

29-year-old middle school teacher and coach Crystal Nicole Rodriguez was charged with engaging in an improper relationship between an educator and student, KSAT reported.

While officials with the San Antonio Independent School District could not go into details because the case involves a minor, they have indeed confirmed that Rodriguez worked as a special education teacher at Page Middle School.

Spokeswoman Leslie Price told KSAT 12 News that Rodriguez was only in her second year teaching at the school. Rodriguez also worked as a coach with the girls’ basketball, soccer, volleyball and track teams.

Price also said the girl involved is a former Page Middle School student. Uh.

Police records show that Rodriguez “admitted to having a sexual relationship” with the teen when the two were found together in the hotel room. Ugh.

After the President’s Day holiday, school officials began notifying parents about the arrest.

Jail records show that Rodriguez posted a $20,000 bond and was released from custody on Sunday.

Price said the suspect was expected to meet with SAISD’s human resources department.

Another teacher recently ended up in the headlines for nasty reasons. A former preschool teacher was arrested after he allegedly sexually abused children as they napped.

25-year-old Jayrico Jayrice Hamilton was arrested on Tuesday, months after the parents of two boys filed lawsuits against him and Orlando’s Bright Horizons Children’s Centers.

Hamilton was fired back in May and the day care center is on probation, per settlement terms reached with The Department of Children and Families in October.

The alleged victim told investigators that Hamilton put his mouth on his penis "kind of every day" while other children were sleeping during nap times; the child also said Hamilton would kiss him on the mouth, the arrest report claims.

"This is the worst thing that has ever happened to us," the kid's father explained. "Our son was healthy and happy before coming here, and now he’s a diminished child."

The lawyer for the child's parents, Jeff Herman, shared that Hamilton was on an abuse registry in Virginia and should not have been hired by Bright Horizons.

"This is the case that never should have happened. Jayrico Hamilton should never have been near their little boy."
