Report: Mary J. Blige Officially Single As She Hammers Out Divorce Details With Kendu Isaacs

Look who’s free for the summer!

Mary J. Blige is officially single after a judge signed off on her messy divorce to Martin 'Kendu' Isaacs.

The singer's divorce was finalized on Wednesday, ending their 12-year marriage, following allegations of Kendu's infidelity.

Blige first revealed her split in 2016 but the pair were unable to come to an agreement on dividing their assets. In March, Blige and Isaacs reached a confidential settlement agreement.

It is not known if Martin received his request of a hefty $130,000 a month in spousal support.

A judge previously shot down Kendu’s request to increase his spousal support, but Mary was still having to splash out $30,000 to her estranged husband each month.

At that time, Blige stated, "Why would he be entitled to something? Because he’s used to living the way he used to live? Why else would he think he’s entitled to something? Because if you did what you did because you love me and you managed me because you love me and you rock with me as my husband because you love me, why should I have to pay you now?"

In addition, she was also required to pay him $135,000 retroactively for the period starting with Sept. 1, 2016.

Finally, the R&B icon was ordered to pay $100,000 in lawyer fees and experts costs, which was, in fact, less than the man was originally asking for in court – $167,000.

The "Runaway Love" singer has moved forward with her life, stating she was stronger following their split.

Blige stated, "I learned that I'm really stronger than I even knew because there is a lot of hell taking place, too, right now. But I am living. I am not a petty person. I let the positive overtake me so that all of the positive doors can open and the positive can come in. I'm stronger and wiser."

Mary went on to label Kendu a "con artist" in her interview with Variety. She claimed he pretended to love her but was only after her money.

She said, "I'm doing OK. I'm living,' she said. 'I'm not happy about a lot of things. I thought someone loved me, right? Turns out, he was a con artist and he didn't, and now he's coming after me for all my money. When you come out of something like that, you realize you were never the one. There was someone else that was his queen. I got played. I got suckered. I have to keep smiling and keep my spirits up because this is designed to kill me."

Blige, 47, was dealing with financial problems earlier this year. In February, it was reported that the Oscar nominee owed the IRS millions.

She said of her money woes, "I’m just being straight-up honest. I never wanted to do all this stuff, but after what I’ve been through and the mess that I’m in. You have to pay those taxes."

The pair, who shared no children together, were married a total of 12 years.

Congrats to Mary J. Blige for finally being a free woman!
