The Tea On Season 9 Of ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ Including Who's Returning, Fired and Hired

It’s about that time of the year…

There are already rumors swirling about the cast members that will be appearing on season 9 of "Love & Hip Hop: New York."

"LHHNY" suffered in ratings last season as many viewers felt like the cast and storylines were not really that compelling.

Mona Scott Young and “Love & Hip Hop” producers are gearing up to make season 9 more interesting by making some changes.

The New York edition of the franchise is reportedly bringing back two former cast members that were fan favorites years ago.

The couple went public with their relationship in 2016 and welcomed their first child, a baby boy, together in 2017.

A source claims the couple will return to show their relationship in a positive light.

Nicki Minaj's former boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, will also be returning to the show.

Yandy Smith is also returning to the show, where her damaged friendship with Kimbella is likely to play out.

Goal diggin’! Your goals don’t care how you feel...just get it done! . . @yelleskincare & @yellebeauty Thank me later💋

Yandy allegedly contributed to the epic fight between Kimbella and Erica Mena on the show.

Erica previously revealed that Yandy instigated the beef by telling her things Kimbella allegedly said about her.

Months ago, Kimbella called Yandy out on social media after she sent her birthday greetings. Kimbella accused Yandy of just trying to look good by sending birthday wishes, saying they hadn't been in contact and that she should have just texted her privately.

Kimbella will also be returning with Juelz Santana, who has been dealing with legal issues.

Earlier this year, Juelz was indicted to bringing a weapon to Newark Liberty International airport back in March.

He is out on $500,000 bond and was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and be on house arrest, at his mother’s New Jersey home.

On June 8, Juelz’ lawyer wrote the judge a letter pleading for the rapper’s conditions of his release be modified, to allow him to leave his mother’s house and move back in with his girlfriend and their children.

Juelz says while there was concern about him living with Kimbella due to a past incident involving domestic allegations. His lawyer says they have been in active in couple’s therapy and have made great progress. Their therapist conducted a risk assessment and concluded there is little or no risk of another incident.

Yup... @kimbellasworld 😘😘🙏

The rapper is also seeking permission to travel outside New Jersey, pointing out his music career is his only income. He claims to support himself, girlfriend, several children and many family members.

Other familiar faces that are rumored to be returning include rapper Dreamdoll, DJ Self, and Jonathan.

Season 9 of “Love & Hip Hop: New York” returns later this year on VH1.
