Ciara Drops A Date While Using The Hashtag That Previously Got Her Dragged By The Internet — Photos

Mark your calendars Ciara fans!

The singer, wife & mother of two hasn’t released a full-length album since 2015’s Jackie, but that’s about to change.

7.18.18 is the date that Ciara is hinting at dropping a new single. This could also be a hint at a clothing line in the works.

The gorgeous 32-year-old songstress, dancer, and songwriter posted a series of photos on all her social media platforms of her wearing thigh high latex heeled boots, a slightly industrial look yet minimalistic black hoodie with the words “Level Up” written across the chest and front of the hood.

She’s also got an outer jacket on that’s secured together with a belt reminiscent of a rollercoaster safety belt. Street style but make it fashion, am I right? Her beautifully thick long hair is worn straightened.

All of the posts are captioned simply, “#LevelUp 7.18.18”

There’s no word yet if there is a video premiering along with the song but the star has been hinting that this is the first taste of her seventh studio album.

Her most recent post is captioned, “Get Ready to Dance” along with the date and the signature hashtag for this campaign.

Fans are losing their collective mind’s since it has been so long since the singer has dropped an album. None of her recent efforts have charted in the mainstream sphere since 2016. However, this might be due to the star's personal life. Ciara demonstrated what it means to "#LevelUp" when she ditched rapper and father of her son Future.

The singer and her ex-fiancé, with whom she shares custody of their almost 2-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn, were in and out of court for over a month back in 2016! The pair spent more time at odds than they spent engaged.

Ciara and Future first met while working together and their connection in the studio translated into real life. Future released a remix of Ciara's "Sorry" in 2012 and appeared on "Where You Go" and the "Body Party" remix off of Ciara's fifth studio album, 2013's Ciara.

Cici previously got in trouble with single women on the Internet for using the #LevelUp hashtag along with a video with some share wise words from Pastor John Gray. In the clip, he stated, "Too many women want to be married but you’re walking in the spirit of "girlfriend."

In the clip, the pastor stated, "You are not a wife when I marry you, you are a wife when I find you. You become my wife when I marry you. But a wife’s not the presence of a ring, it is the presence of your character. Too many women want to be married, but you are walking in the spirit of a girlfriend."

Ciara, who is married to Seattle Seahawks' Russell Wilson, wrote in the caption that women need to "#LevelUp. Don't Settle."

The singer's post quickly gained attention on social media. Some Twitter users accused the singer of shaming single women.

Ciara later released a statement on Instagram in response to the backlash.

She wrote, "I was once that girl wanting to be loved a certain way but was making the wrong choices. I found myself at my lowest moment. I was a single mom sitting at home, and I then realized that the perfect love I was looking for was how God loves me, how He wants me to be loved, and who He was calling me to be as a mom and a woman. That's when I realized married or not married... I needed to love myself. #LevelUp."

We’re excited to see what Ciara has in the works and know she won’t disappoint!
