‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Star Kenya Moore & Marc Daly Welcome Baby Girl And She Has The Cutest Name

Baby Daly is here!

It looks like Kenya Moore’s dream of becoming a mother have finally come true.

The 47-year-old ex-Real Housewives of Atlanta star has welcomed her first child (a baby girl, who weighed in at 5 lbs. and 12 oz.) with husband Marc Daly, Us Weekly reports.

“We want to be surprised and we want to make it as natural as we can at this point. We just want a healthy baby. And it doesn’t matter to either of us — boy, girl, we don’t really care,” she dished to People.

Born at 9:39 am Eastern on Sunday, November 4th, Brooklyn Doris Daly weighed in at 5lbs. 12oz.

Oh and she served up some context for the bundle of joy’s moniker.

“Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me,” Kenya explained.

How exciting. The outspoken diva opened up about the good news on Instagram, sharing a screenshot of the People story. She captioned this, “#BrooklynDorisDaly is here! Thank you @people for sharing our journey […] She's so perfect and strong! Marc was incredible in the delivery room. I lost a lot of blood so I'm very weak but they both were strong for me. God is so good. We are blessed and doing well. My heart is so full at the abundance of love for our family! We love you all.”

Before the birth, Moore took to Instagram to post a picture of herself before giving birth and the caption, “If you want to make God laugh have a plan... won't be long now. Pray for us #babydaly #weloveyou #prayers.”

Her journey to motherhood had some bumps along the way. She—secretly—wed Marc in June 2017, but the pair had trouble conceiving a child naturally. They opted for IVF treatment and were later spotted in Barbados last November at a fertility clinic. Apparently, the procedure was successful, as the couple announced the pregnancy in April 2018.

Really lovely!

Kenya has been open about her issues with fertility and the scarring of her uterus caused by fibroids. She encouraged women, especially black women, to listen to their bodies.

“If something doesn’t feel right, do not be afraid to go see a doctor or a specialist. Living with a problem is never the answer. That’s what I did with my fibroids,” she penned in Oprah Magazine

She then shared that she had been living completely unaware of the fibroids growing in her uterus and had no clue that they could potentially affect her chances of getting pregnant.

Just the other day, the former reality star asked for prayers, writing, “I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia… I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine. This is NOT normal!”

“I took more tests. Baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day. Staying positive. To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.🙏🏾 #babydaly #highrisk #love #family #miraclebaby #kenyamoore #babybump #pregnantover40.”
