Man Arrested For Chaining Up His Twin Daughters For 10 Years, Repeatedly Raping Them As One Of Them Gave Birth

A Minnesota man has been charged for allegedly keeping his twin daughters chained while raping, starving and beating them. The man also got one of the twins pregnant twice.

Jerry Lee Curry, 51, has been accused of torturing his twin daughter, who he kept chained up like an animal.

A protective order against Curry also revealed that he fathered two children by one of his twin daughters. One of the twin's children was born in June 2014 and the other in October 2017.

The twin sisters are now in their 20s and suffer from diminished mental and behavioral capacity.

The abuse went on for at least 10 years until one of the twins escaped to alert authorities last May.

Curry is also accused of beating his 10-year-old daughters.

One of the twins, referred to as Victim A, was the one who managed to escape last May. She was reported missing by her mother and authorities located her at the Salvation Army shelter.

Authorities said she suffered "injuries consistent with abuse."

Protective services stepped in to remove the other twin and their younger sister from the home on May 9.

In June, Victim A told police that the abuse started after her parents found out she was "sexually active."

She told authorities that her father repeatedly put a dog chain tightly around one or both ankles and connected it to the parents' bedroom door "to prevent her from seeing men" and to deny her food.

Victim A stated that they would keep her chained for days at a time with her hands tied behind her back. Curry would allegedly beat her while she was tied up.

Victim B, who was impregnated by her father twice, told authorities she doesn't "ever remember having enough food."

DNA samples from Curry and Victim B confirmed that he was the father of her daughter.

Victim B said, "He forced me to have sex, [and] he has done this to me every day since I was [in my] early teens or so. He did this to my twin sister also. It feel[s] so good today to not be chained to the bed."

A psychologist determined Victim B has an intellectual disability, and will not be able to live on her own.

Victim A reportedly behaves more like a child aged 6 to 7-years-old, according to reports.

Child safety experts concluded that their injuries were "clinically diagnostic of torture."

Victim A has a detached left ear and scars on her forehead, scalp and back. She told police the injuries came from Curry beating her with a bat and a paddle.

Victim A was left with a limp after being chained around her ankle so tightly. The chains were on so tight that she nearly lost her legs due to gangrene setting in. Thankfully, surgery on her ankles saved her legs.

Victim B revealed Curry would beat both of them with fists, bats and brooms.

The 10-year-old daughter was examined by doctors in May and there were no signs of physical abuse.

The little girl told investigators that Curry forced her to hit her twin sisters with a stick.

The twins were chained up naked and were forced to lie in their own feces and urine, according to reports.

Victim B stated that her parents kept their Social Security disability payments to buy drugs and alcohol.

Curry was charged about nine months after the abuse allegations became known. County attorney spokesman Chuck Laszewski told the Tribune that investigators needed the time to collect sufficient evidence.

Curry was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct, stalking, first-and second-degree assault, abuse of a vulnerable adult, and a gross-misdemeanor count of child endangerment.

He remains in jail in lieu of $750,000 bail.

Shelia Machelle Wilson, 48, was charged with two felony counts of criminal neglect with deprivation occurring over an extended period of time. She was also charged with neglect of a child, likely causing substantial harm to physical/emotional health.
