WATCH: Jaden & Willow Reveal To Jada Pinkett Smith Their "Painful" Experiences Growing Up — Video

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have famously lax parenting habits. And now their children, Jaden and Willow are opening up about their experiences.

Oh and even their maternal grandmother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, believe that Jaden and Willow had too much freedom growing up!

In the recent episode of her Facebook Watch series, Red Table Talk, Jada confessed that she and Will grew up in a very different environment than their offspring, so sometimes it is difficult for her to comprehend what they went through.

The Smith children opened up about their struggles growing wealthy and being used by their peers.

"It's like, what do I do when it's just me and my homies and we're chilling for dinner,” Jaden pondered, as his parents presumably paid for everything. “Do I ask for the check? Do I just pay for everything?"

“I literally hate Disneyland,” Willow noted, “because I had one terrible experience and everyone expected me to pay for them… I was super young. It was with older girls and they were all behind my back like, 'Oh, she's going to pay for everything.' I honestly wasn't thinking that way… It was painful."

Aw! That is really awful.

Willow and Jaden both had traumatizing moments at the start of their careers with Jaden’s leading role in the 2010 film The Karate Kid and Willow’s hit single from the same year Whip My Hair.

Jay-Z apparently told them that the song would be smash though! And now it’s stuck in our heads.

With Will and Jada’s work-hard mentality, they knew that Willow would be set for life. But Willow says that she wished her parents cared more about her growth as an artist than her popularity and, “… the values of the people around [her] should have been the opposite.”

As her children are now self-confident, it came as no surprise to Jada when Jaden began donning skirts and even became the face of womenswear for Louis Vuitton. Will, on the other hand, was a little nervous.

Jada spoke up about this, expressing, “I remember Will calling me and being like, ‘Have you talked about this with Jaden and him wearing a skirt?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I have.’ I said, ‘He’s pretty happy about it.’”

Though Jaden initially talked about wanting to give kids freedom to dress how they want and be themselves, he made it clear that he wears skirts so he could look “fly.”

Jada is proud of her children; “Even in those battles that we’ve had over what’s too much, what’s too little, trying to find the balance in regards to parenting, I’ll tell you one thing about the two of y’all: y’all know how to work, you work hard, and you do it well. And I’m proud of that,” she said.”
