‘The Rock’ Reveals Why Friendship With ‘Fast & Furious’ Co-Star Tyrese Is Beyond Repair

It looks like two of our favorite Fast & Furious co-stars are no longer friends and not even on speaking terms.

…and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson makes it crystal clear why it’s going to stay that way.

Their friendship has been tense to say the least since Tyrese Gibson started sending shots last year at The Rock, claiming that their upcoming Fast & Furious film was delayed because of him. Gibson was upset the ninth edition of the film was getting delayed for The Rock to focus on his spin-off project.

Black Ty first started his dragging of the The Rock by hopping in his IG comments saying the former wrestler must have "lost his number" and that no one wanted to see him in a Fast & Furious movie by himself. Tyrese wrote, "the real selfish #Candy[Expletive] revealed and why you on twitter...???? You lost my number right? I'm at you when I see you #Family”.

He also hopped into the comment section of snap of Dwayne’s, ranting, “you still promoting a movie that no one wants to see made you clown... […] He's on twitter and won't hit my cell @TheRock this is the people's champ? #ShawHobbsEpicFailure you came here to break up the fast family."

Ty had already taken to Instagram to criticize his co-star for allegedly causing the "F9" release date to be moved to 2020. It was originally scheduled for release in April of 2019, but then was pushed back.

He penned, "#PSA. "Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU - And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post […] Gn folks see you in 2020 April #FastFamily right? Nah..... it's about #TeamDewayne #3yrs will it be worth the wait? #NoShaw just Hobbs will this be another #BayWatch? Guys guys just relax I'm just a passionate film critic."

Tyrese was going through a rough patch at the time with his medication and in terms of stress and has since apologized about the things he’s said on social media.

The Rock had never publicly spoken on these issues until now. He was recently promoting his new movie Skyscraper on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen when he was asked whether or not if he had spoken to Tyrese.

His answer was simple.

“The answer is no. No, we haven’t talked at all. That whole thing with Tyrese, it was pretty disappointing because I’d been friends with Tyrese for a very long time.”

As far as why he remained silent while Tyrese was dragging him on social media through many, many different rants:

“I always feel like a beef requires two people to actually jump in it,” he continued.” “It was really one-sided, and he had voiced his opinion a lot on social media, and apparently he was going through some stuff too in his personal life, but no, we haven’t talked and I don’t see where we would..”

The personal life issues that Dwayne was referring to involved the custody battle between Tyrese and now ex-wife Norma Mitchell over their daughter Shayla who is 11.

When all is said and done it looks like the WWE star is done with Tyrese and his issues.

“To me, there’s no need to have a conversation,” The Rock added.

Take a look at the clip, below:

It's interesting because reports Black Ty claimed the beef with the Rock was squashed after having a heart-to-heart conversation with one of the actor's associates. We’ll assume that conversation was either not relayed to The Rock or said party wasn’t authorized to speak on The Rock’s behalf.

The Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson led Fast & Furious spin-off, Hobbs and Shaw, is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2019.

And we’re sure Tyrese will be Big Mad.
