WATCH: Chance The Rapper Has Shared Some Heart-Melting News About His Love Life — Video

Do we hear wedding bells?

The Fourth of July is always a cause for celebration, but this year, Chance the Rapper is giving us all another reason to cheer. Yay.

Us Weekly says the Chicago-based hip hop artist got engaged, after popping the question to his longtime girlfriend, Kirsten Corley.

In a video posted to Instagram by The Shade Room (it’s down below), Chance, whose real name is Chancelor Jonathan Bennett, can be seen getting down on one knee to propose to Kristen.

It is super cute and touching. Love the backdrop of the holiday festivities and that their loved ones were so enthused. Amidst all the noise, Chance can be heard asking “Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?” as he reaches out to hold her hand.

So sweet.
#TSRProposals: Congrats are in order for #ChanceTheRapper and his new fiancée #KirstenCorley!! He popped the big question y’all! 💍😍

He then calls over their 2-year-old daughter Kensli; a second clip shows the three hugging, with Chance and Kirsten sharing a kiss. Embedded in the same Instagram post is an up-close shot of the engagement ring. Which is stunning.

Though the two have been together for some time (devotees might recall Chance giving a shout-out to Corley and Kensli at the 2017 Grammy Awards), their relationship has had its bumps over the past five years.

They started dating back in 2013. In July 2015, Chance announced that he was expecting his first child. Kristen gave birth to Kensli in September 2015, though she was kept out of the public eye and off social media until Chance posted a picture of her on New Year’s Eve in 2016.

Earlier that year, Kirsten had filed documents asking the court to declare Chance as the baby’s father, requesting that he pay child support. A month later, she amended the petition to reflect that the two were cohabitating and that the rapper had asked for shared parental responsibility.

Before long, additional paperwork was filed in order to establish a schedule for parenting, as the two were no longer living together. In January 2017, she withdrew her filing with the courts, as she and Chance had made up and were once again shacked up. A month later, the child support case was reopened, before settling out of court in March, the Chicago Sun-Times noted.

Chance the Rapper is best known for his series of mixtapes, as well as collaborations with other artists, including Kanye West. In May 2016, he released his third mixtape, Coloring Book, which collected plenty of critical acclaim, also catching him three Grammy Awards—including one for Best Rap Album.

Congrats to #chancetherapper & Kirsten Corley on their #engagement 💍 ! Rp @ebonymagazine

Last month he shared a touching Instagram post about Kristen, the caption of which described her as his “oldest and best friend.”

From the beginning beginning to the end end. You are my oldest and best friend. You are responsible for everyone of the most wonderful things in my life. I’m forever grateful that God made me find you, and even more grateful that you made me find God. Forever and ever babe. Happy Birthday

Ups and downs. But here we are. Congrats to the happy couple!
