Cardi B Just Addressed Another Lingering Rumor Involving Nicki Minaj...

Depending on how you view Cardi B and her “rags to riches” story of her now superstardom, the following report is either wonderful or not so good news.

Her first ever collaboration with fellow New York femcee Nicki Minaj on Migos’ “MotorSport” was one for the books, despite some mix-ups and petty misunderstandings between the ladies that followed.

If we all remember Nicki Minaj tried to handle rumor control surrounding the aforementioned “MotorSport” record as gossip-driven theories hit the internet but it didn’t totally go so well.

Initially, when reports sprung that the Queen rapper was blindsided by Cardi’s involvement; Nicki later confirmed she was aware of Cardi on the record prior to the song’s release.

“I was on the song w/Quavo. No one else was on it. He called & asked if I think we should put Bardi on it, I said ‘ok let’s do it.’ The end,” Nicki wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “Anything w/my name on it gets approved by me. It can’t even go on a streaming service w/o me hearing it & giving written approval.”

Instead of leaving it there, she went into some puzzling responses and that’s when things got out of hands.

It later led to Minaj expressing she was hurt over the creation of the music video for "MotorSport," which further fueled drama between the two female rhymers. (They didn’t film on the same day, thus missing out on a moment of unity for Women in Hip Hop).

Stepping into the veteran seat this time around, the leader of the Bardi Gang is getting in front of the new rumors of a potential collaboration between her and the leader of the Barbs Army.

The current holder to the number 1 song in the United States (“I Like That” featuring Bad Bunny and J. Balvin) has been rumored to be joining Nicki Minaj one more time for the remix to Juice WRLD's breakout hit "Lucid Dreams." (His Goodbye & Good Riddance album has spent weeks in the Top 10 and his "Lucid Dreams" song is currently #3 on the Hot 100).

The new report of a Cardi/Nicki union on wax, drew polarizing reactions; however, it seemed the internet overall would have liked to hear them together again. But unfortunately for us, it’s not happening.

Shortly after Pop Crave announced the rumored remix via social media, Cardi made it clear she's not involved in the alleged collaboration in their comments.

"Dope but it's not true," was the comment she left. It doesn't mean that the Nicki & Cardi won't work together in the future but for now, “Motorsport” is their only musical collaboration.

It’s just another reminder to not believe everything you read on the internet—unless it’s from us here!

After running into each other and hashing things out at the MET Gala in May, Cardi said in a later interview that she no longer has issues with Nicki Minaj.
