Azealia Banks Calls Cardi B 'Illiterate' And Drags Her Glow Up + Cardi B Claps Back With Reads & Receipts

Here We Go Again...

Cardi B and Azealia Banks have been feuding on social media, after Banks referred to Cardi B as an "illiterate, untalented rat" and "caricature of a black woman."

Banks had appeared on "Breakfast club" and referenced Beyoncé’s album, "Lemonade", claiming that marked an "all-time high" in the "really intelligent conversation surrounding black women's culture."

Azealia proceeded to throw shade at the "Bodak Yellow" rapper, saying that had all ended when Cardi B came on the music scene.

Banks confirmed she had called Cardi illiterate and said, "I’m talking about this caricature of a black woman that black women themselves will never be able to get away with. If my spelling and grammar was that bad, I would be cancelled. If Nicki Minaj spelled like that, you would be ragging on her all day. When it comes to this black women’s culture thing, I just don’t understand how we go from Beyonce, Solange, Lemonade and all these great conversations to like, this."

Banks received backlash from Cardi B fans over her statement in the radio interview. She also received a response from Cardi herself!

Cardi accused Banks of being jealous of her success and her penchant for pitting women against each other.

The "Be Careful" rapper responded on Instagram, writing, "Beyonce? Wasn't Beyonce the same woman she was talking [expletive] about and dragging all over the media?"

She continued, "I'm from the hood. I speak how I speak. I am how I am. I did not choose to be famous people chose me! People followed me on Instagram and the people gave me a platform to introduce my talent. I never asked to be an example of a role model. I don't want to change my ways because I'm famous. That's why I just mind my business. This is coming from a woman that bleached her skin, but want to advocate [sic]. GOODBYE. I'm not apologizing or killing myself because of who I am."

The 25-year-old rapper, who is pregnant with her first child, also pointed out that Azealia "finds joy in belittling black women (Beyonce, Rihanna, Skai Jackson, Remy Ma) and can't stand for them because it's inconvenient."

Cardi goes on to write, "I've never pretended to be or represent someone I'm not! I've made it where I am for being myself and staying true to that. I'm not trying to represent nobody but myself. You busy trying to be a voice of reason and a representative for women of color when you can't even reason with yourself."

She adds that Banks is insecure and not happy in her own skin.

Cardi also clapped back at Azealia stating she is illiterate. The rapper wrote, You think because someone uses a lot of big words and long sentences makes them smart? How smart are you if you don't know the meaning of 'illiterate' means to not know how to read or write."

She adds that she can do both and speaks two languages fluently.

Azealia responded by writing, "So because I point out that you get away with being the typical caricature of a black woman that society says is wrong...and you respond by calling me unattractive and bringing up skin bleaching to basically make fun of me for not being light skinned?"

Cardi had enough of the drama and deactivated her Instagram account. In addition to deleting her IG, Cardi's tweets are also "protected" and not available to the public.

We imagine she's focused on gearing up to welcome her first child with fiancé, Offset, instead of beefing with annoying Banks.
