Now We Know The Real Reason Why Nicki Minaj & Cardi B's Drama Began And It's Messy

Apparently, this beef really is just as petty as it was believed to be.

Does Nicki Minaj really do all she can to not share the spotlight with other female musicians? Seems that way, right?

Cardi B caught plenty of headlines during New York Fashion Week when she threw a shoe at Nicki Minaj at a party and started yelling at the rapper. It was messy, no matter how you slice it.

The Internet came up with a few theories as to what caused the fight, but now some are suggesting that it may have had something to do with Future?

In Cardi B’s “Drip,” a feature spot was allocated for Migos. But maybe the single was supposed to feature rapper Future as the guest artist, however, he seems to have pulled the plug on this collaboration.

Hm.

Why though?

Well, Nicki allegedly told him that he could either take himself off the song or no longer have the opportunity to tour with Nicki. Yikes.

Page Six says that Jason Lee (of Hollywood Unlocked) has intel that claims Nicki prohibited Future from moving forward with the track.

This would tie into Cardi's claims that her rival is "hating behind-the-scenes" and holding people back.

Lee says that Migos were not supposed to be on the song - it was simply a collaboration between Cardi and Future.

While Cardi B, Future and Nicki have not commented on these whispers one way or another, there does seem to be a lot of evidence that supports this supposed scenario. For one, Future is indeed going on tour with Nicki Minaj, for the The NICKIHNDRXX tour, which has been postponed until 2019.

(Others believe that the altercation was all about Nicki possibly making rude comments about Cardi’s parenting choices for her newborn daughter, Kulture.)

A Twitter post circulating around online may contain the dropped Future verse from “Drip.”

Fans were quick to jump in with their takes, with plenty of jokes about the quality of the recording, essentially saying that “migos did better.”

Missing the point a bit, no? In any case, Cardi B is evidently “on schedule and unfazed” as she continued to make appearances in Milan for Fashion Week, TMZ insists.

Cardi actually attended the Dolce & Gabbana show and watched her sister walk down the runway for Philipp Plein. Nicki, who was also in Milan at the same time, seems to be unbothered now, despite the fact that she spent quite a bit of time bashing Cardi on Queen Radio not too long ago.

The duo didn’t cross paths in Italy, so there was no drama, but the two are both scheduled to appear at Paris Fashion Week, so we shall see how that ends up.
