Here's The Reason Why Production For ‘Braxton Family Values’ Is Now On Indefinite Hiatus

It looks like the future of “Braxton Family Values” is currently up in the air.

The taping for the sixth season of show has been shut down indefinitely after the stars refused to film for the second half of the season. The Braxton ladies want to renegotiate their contract due to their low pay.

Tamar, Toni, Towanda, Traci, Trina and mom Evelyn are reportedly refusing to return to work until Magical Elves production and WE TV renegotiate their contracts. Apparently, their wardrobe and travel funds are incredibly low and their pay needs to be raised to an "acceptable" level.

An insider claims that Evelyn and her daughters are taking a stand and refusing to film other episodes until they are paid more.

A source claims that the Braxton family was scheduled to begin filming the second part of the sixth season in Atlanta last week. However, Traci was the only family member that showed up!

WE TV and the producers of the show decided to shut down the production.

New episodes of "Braxton Family Values" are scheduled to air in August. WEtv has not yet revealed if the contract dispute will cause the airing date to be postponed.

The network and the Magical Elves production company have not revealed if they willing to offer the Braxton family members additional pay.

The show first premiered on the network back in April of 2011 and became quite popular with fans of the family.

The Braxtons are reportedly under contract until season 9, but they are demanding changes in their contracts starting this year.

The fourth season of the series recorded the highest ratings with 1.5 million total viewers, up by 8 percent compared to previous seasons and higher than the later installments.

Last year, the dramatic split between Tamar and and husband, Vincent Herbert, played out on the show. The estranged couple split amid claims of infidelity and DV.

Toni is currently busy planning her upcoming wedding to rapper Birdman, with the singer recently telling People magazine she wants a “Great Gatsby” inspired wedding.

Toni stated, "This is my second wedding and I’m over 40 – It’s like Carrie Bradshaw, the last bride over 40 – so I want something that’s elegant and a little sexy. I’ve already done the beautiful bell dress at my first wedding. This time, I want something that’s more vintage – ’20s and ’30s like ‘Great Gatsby’-themed."

Let’s hope the Braxton Family don’t get sued for breach of contract.
