Literally at loss for words 💔 my heart breaks for my sister and nephew .. RIP Sutton

I can’t sit here and lie and say we were close like brothers. What I will say is every time I encountered you we had good conversations and I never personally had an issue with you. NOBODY DESERVES [WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM]. I’m posting this post because I just remembered your last words you said to me when I saw you last “Hold it down bruh”. I didn’t know I would have to hold it down this way. God works in crazy ways but I’m here to be the man for your son to look up to and call whenever he needs me ! #RIPSutton @angelasimmons I GOT YOU.

Per the AJC, Sutton was the disturbing incident as he life was taken inside an open garage (courtesy of a drive-by) on Jewel Drive in southwest Atlanta.

Atlanta police spokesman Officer Jarius Daugherty noted that Sutton was talking with a man in the driveway when "the conversation escalated"; the suspect [hit] Sutton multiple times, before leaving the scene in a car. The [incident] is still being investigated.

To further complicate matters and emotions, Angela and Sutton were in court days before he was shot, as they were trying to come to an agreement on the custody of their son.

A source told Page Six, that the once-engaged couple was in Manhattan Family Court on October 30th. He was paying over $1,000/month in child support, but Angela reportedly wanted more.

Before they called it quits in December 2017, Angela had filed for an order or protection against Sutton and she also had temporary custody of Sutton Jr.

“It wasn’t lovey dovey, there’s a reason people go to court,” a source had explained.

She had apparently received temporary custody of Sutton Jr. in July, after filing for an order of protection against Tennyson in December 2017. Angela made claims that Sutton put his hands on her upon their break up.

Sutton was actually in the process of preparing a bid for joint custody while enjoying nightly FaceTime with his son, an insider shared.

“He tried hard to be in the child’s life,” they had explained.

“It’s devastating to hear about this tragedy. Mr. Tennyson was a loving father. It’s very sad his son will grow up without him,” Sutton’s attorney, Daniel Nottes, said.

Indeed.

“Ms. Simmons has no comment and thanks the media for respecting her privacy as she grieves the tragic loss of her son’s father,” Angela’s lawyer, Daniel Lipschutz, also said.

Tragic indeed. Sending prayers and love along to all involved.
